Reagan's 39 propels Cuyahoga past Cincinnati State

Cincinnati, OH---Joshua Reagan scored 39 points to lead hot-shooting Cuyahoga to an 85-73 win over Cincinnati State in an Ohio Community College Athletic Conference contest on Saturday.

The setback was the fourth in the last five games, all conference contests, for Cincinnati State, which fell to 14-7 overall and 1-4 in OCCAC play.  Cuyahoga, 8-11, posted its first league win after three losses.

The visiting Challengers shot 74 percent from the field in the first half and finished the game with a .680 shooting percentage.  They also out-rebounded the Surge by 20.

Reagan, who was 16-of-24 from the field, also grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.  Chris Cromity added 13 points to the Challengers' total.

Cuyahoga seized control of the game half-way through the first half and held a 44-39 advantage at halftime.  Cincinnati State cut the margin to one point at the 13 minute mark of the second half but the Challengers spurted to a 10-point lead three minutes later.

Winston Grays led the Surge with 18 points.  Tyler Fischl added 15 and Devonte Smith had 14.

Cincinnati State will travel to play Sinclair Community College on Wednesday.
