Cincinnati State wins 80-72 against Wayne; extends winning streak to eight games

Detroit, MI---The Cincinnati State men's basketball team won 80-72 on the road against Wayne County Community College (MI) on Saturday.

Cincinnati State's Tom Jackson led all scorers with 24 points to go along with 9 assists. Freshman Jamal Ivery, a graduate of North College Hill, made all six of his field goals, finishing the game with 15 points. Tyler Fischl finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds.

The Surge converted 20 of 25 free throws and shot over 50% from beyond the arc as they won their 8th straight game

Improving to 11-2 on the season, Cincinnati State will travel to play Oakland Community College on Dec. 28 in the opening round of the Illinois Central College Invitational in East Peoria, Illinois.
