Dayton, OH---Sinclair (5-2/0-0) Men's basketball team pulled out a late home victory over a very well disciplined Cedarville University (2-3) JV team Monday night 86-57.

Both teams struggled finding the range from  the field in the first half, as Sinclair went 0-15 from the 3 point line but managed to hold on to a low 28-24 lead at half.

The second half the Pride came out with new confidence and found the range, going 7 for 10 from behind the arc.  Once the shots started to fall, the Pride defense pick up and Sinclair was able to get out and score some easy transition baskets.  The last ten minutes, the Pride outscored the visiting Yellow Jackets 36-8 to post win number 5 on the young season.

Sinclair was lead in scoring by Sophomore Guard Mark Allen (6-3 SO/Cincinnati – Northwest H.S.) with a game high 18 points.  Freshman Forward Vic Wyrick (6-5 FR/Cincinnati – Roger Bacon H.S.) posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Sophomore Point Guard Charlie Byers (5-11 FR/Cincinnati - Moeller H.S.) scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds along with handing out 6 assist.
