Cincinnati, OH---The Cincinnati State men's basketball team won 95-73 against Wayne County Community College (MI) on Saturday.
Despite playing only 18 minutes, 6'11 sophomore Dwayne Bazemore led all scorers with 16 points, converting 6 of 7 field goals. Lionell Hill, a graduate from Western Hills High School, came off the bench to score 14 points. Starting poin
t guard Thomas Jackson recorded 15 assists. Winston Grays, who is shooting 80% beyond the arc in the last three games, finished the game 3 of 5 from the 3-point line and a total of 13 points. Chrisean Marsden also chipped in with 13 points and led all players in rebounding with 9.
As a team, the Surge forced Wayne County to turn the ball over 27 times, which led to a 28-8 advantage in points off of turnovers
Cincinnati State, who improves to 5-2 on the season, will return to action at home against ABCD Prep on Monday, Nov. 19. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 pm tip-off.
