The Tartan Pride faced the University of Northwestern Ohio's JV team on Thursday and picked up their 7th win of the season 11-5.  Until the 9th inning, there was a least one run scored in every inning of the game.

It all started in the second inning, when already trailing 1-0; Sinclair took advantage of defensive miscues by UNOH.  The inning began with Austin Downing reaching on an error by the shortstop.

Matt Sullivan followed with a bunt single and Tyler Raymond walked to load the bases for Darwin Argumedo.  Argumedo managed to get on base on a fielder's choice which scored Downing.  Another run scored on an error from the rightfielder and Sinclair went ahead 2-1. UNOH responded in with a run in the 3rd and 4th innings to go up 4-2.

The Tartan bats came alive again in the bottom of the fifth, scoring three runs when with two out.   Sullivan doubled to deep right field and was driven home by a Tyler Raymond single. After Raymond stole second base, Argumedo singled to left, advancing Raymond to third. Two batters later, Nathan Helke was hit by a pitch and the bases were loaded for Sinclair freshman Alex Delk.

Delk  laced a line drive down the left field foul line scoring two, making the score 5-3. Each team traded runs in the 6th and after UNOH pulled within one at 6-5, Sinclair put them away with a four run 7th.

Sinclair's pitching staff was represented by the debut of freshman right hander Bryan Murphy, who went four innings and surrendered three earned runs while striking out two.

After Murphy's day was done, Carlos Merlano pitched two and a third innings allowing two runs while striking out two.  With one out and bases loaded in the 7th, Lefty Tyler Raymond came in and minimized the damage, only allowing one run to cross.

Raymond pitched a scoreless 8thand 9th inning to the victory.
