A QUICK LOOK BACK:  Owens, Columbus State Volleyball Make Postseason Runs

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) was well-represented in the National Junior College Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball National Championships as Owens Community College finished as the D-II runner-up while Columbus State Community College placed fourth among the D-III ranks nationally.

Owens finished the season at 40-1 overall, with the highest winning percentage in the last decade for the volleyball program. The sophomore class finishes with a combined record of 81-6 over their two years with the Express. They also captured two OCCAC league titles and also won two district championships in the Region XII District F tournament.

Columbus State closed out the 2017 season with a 19-12 record and a final four appearance, in addition to capturing Region XII and District G titles.
