Repeat Winners Earn Volleyball Player of the Week Accolades

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – On Monday (Sept. 17), Elizabeth Sicking (Sinclair Community College) and Bobby Diamond (Columbus State Community College) each picked up their second OCCAC Player of the Week honor through the season’s first four weeks. This also marks Columbus State’s third consecutive D-III honor after Edan Jones received the recognition last week.

Sicking defends her OCCAC D-II Player of the Week standing, bringing home a second straight laurel. For the most recent distinction, she attacked .510 in averaging 5.80 kills per set in a pair of conference victories. Sicking added two aces and a block for a total of 32 points in five sets played (6.40/set).

BOBBY DIAMOND
Columbus State Community College
Diamond lifted the third-ranked Cougars to four wins in five matches by contributing on both sides of the net. She averaged 3.33 kills per set, attacked .412 and delivered 10 aces on the offensive while posting 18 blocks (1.00/set) and 13 digs defensively. In a five-set road victory at Lorain County, Diamond exploded for 26 kills at a .781 attacking rate to go along with five aces and three blocks.
