OCCAC Announces First Players of the Week of the 2018-19 Campaign

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) has delivered its first two awards of the 2018-19 academic season, honoring Noel Ufferman (Edison State) and Michaela Eisenhauser (Owens) as the D-II and D-III Volleyball Players of the Week on Monday (Aug. 27).

Edison State Community College
Ufferman stuffed the stat sheet with 8.32 assists, 3.83 digs, 1.50 blocks and 1.67 kills per set while attacking .405 during a 3-0 start to the season for Edison State. The Chargers dropped a lone set in the three victories, including a 3-0 road sweep versus conference foe Lorain County. Ufferman registered no less than 27 assists, 11 digs and four blocks in all three contests.

MICHAELA EISENHAUSER
Owens Community College
Eisenhauser racked up over 40 points and dug 2.31 digs per set in guiding Owens to a 3-1 week mark at the Waubonsee Invitational. The trip included a win over D-III’s eighth-ranked Madison College in which Eisenhauser put away 10 kills at a .381 clip.
