Spring Sport Postseason Information

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Seven OCCAC teams are set to compete in the postseason to conclude the Spring semester. Cuyahoga and Sinclair have advanced to their respective District Softball Championships and begin playing Wednesday (May 9). Sinclair Baseball’s OCCAC title earned it a slot in the North District Championship tournament while Cuyahoga, Edison State, Lakeland and Mercyhurst North East are all two wins away from also reaching the NJCAA D-II District level.

NJCAA District J Softball Tournament | May 9-11
No. 1 seed Cuyahoga will compete in a five-team, double-elimination bracket alongside No. 2 Mott, No. 3 Oakland, No. 4 Delta College and No. 5 St. Clair County at Pine Grove Park in Port Huron, Mich.

Winner advances to the NJCAA D-II National Tournament at Traceway Park Clinton, Miss. (May 16-19).

NJCAA District I Softball Tournament | May 9-11
No. 2 seed Sinclair will compete in a five-team, double-elimination bracket alongside No. 1 Lansing, No. 3 Kalamazoo Valley, No. 4 Jackson College and No. 5 Kellogg at Ranney Park in Lansing, Mich.

Winner advances to the NJCAA D-II National Tournament at Traceway Park Clinton, Miss. (May 16-19).

NJCAA North Sub-District Baseball Tournament | May 11
Cuyahoga, Edison State, Lakeland and Vincennes University will compete in a four-team, single-elimination bracket at Sports Force Park in Sandusky, Ohio.

Winner advances to the NJCAA North District Baseball Tournament (see below).


NJCAA Region 3 Baseball Series | May 11-13
Mercyhurst North East faces Monroe in a best-of-3 series with the winner moving on to the NJCAA East District Baseball Tournament at a TBD location (May 19-20).


NJCAA North District Baseball Tournament | May 16-19
Sinclair, ranked 17th nationally, will compete in Sandusky, Ohio at Sports Force Park.

Winner advances to the NJCAA D-II Baseball World Series at David Allen Ballpark in Enid, Okla. (May 26-June 1/2).
