Clark State Duo Nabs OCCAC Weekly Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Clark State Baseball opened its 2020 season by taking a series over Ancilla College, plating a dozen runs in both wins. Brandon Williams and Mick Pierrot earned OCCAC Player and Pitcher of the Week honors for their efforts in pushing the Eagles to the series victory.

Williams went 7-for-14 (.500) at the dish with a homerun and triple to slug .857 for the week. He was directly responsible for 11 runs, driving in seven and scoring four more. Williams shined brightest in the series-deciding rubber match, smacking four RBI with the homerun and triple to push the Eagles to victory.

Pierrot took the mound for Game 3, delivering six innings in a winning performance. He scattered three hits and two walks in allowing two runs while striking out nine batters.
