Jakyla Jackson and the Terra State volleyball program (21-2, 5-0 OCCAC) maintained their spot atop the OCCAC standings for another week after collecting a pair of league wins last week. Jackson’s offensive outburst in those road victories over Clark State and Lakeland earned her a second OCCAC Player of the Week honor.
Jackson terminated 21 of 30 attempts with just two errors, good for a .633 hitting percentage. She was responsible for 22.5 points during the consecutive straight set triumphs for the 5th-ranked Titans.
Terra State has now been represented three times for this weekly honor through the first five weeks of the season. Jackson also picked up the recognition on Sept. 13 while Titan teammate Olivia Materni was the Sept. 6 selection.
