Dynamic Effort from Jakyla Jackson Nabs Her League's Weekly Honor

Jakyla Jackson was a relentless force during Terra State's 3-0 week, responsible for 4.28 points per set. The OCCAC Player of the Week (for Sept. 6-12) attacked at a .643 clip after committing just three errors on 42 attempts resulting in 30 kills. Jackson denied her opponents over and over as well, good for 1.89 blocks per set as the Titans swept all three foes in straight sets.

League play is when Jackson shined the brightest, delivering a 16-kill, 6-block performance in handing Edison State their first OCCAC loss of the season. Terra State leapt to the top of the standings and sits at 18-2 overall. The Titans moved up one spot to #6 in the latest NJCAA D-II national rankings.

Jackson makes it back-to-back honors for Terra State after teammate Olivia Materni was named the OCCAC Player of the Week seven days ago.
