Brooklyn Green (Owens) and Brandon Lane (Lakeland) each pushed their respective squads to a pair of victories en route to earning OCCAC Player of the Week accolades. Green is back in the spotlight after receiving the same honor earlier this season while Lane picks up his first and Lakeland Men’s Basketball’s third award of the season.
Green logged 76 minutes, racking up 35 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals as The Express improved to 17-5 overall and 10-1 in league play. She was lethal from long range, knocking down 6-of-10 beyond the 3-point arc. Green converted on 50% (13-26) of her field goal attempts overall in averaging 17.5 points/game.
Lane posted back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Bryant & Stratton (OH) and Community Christian. He opened the week with 13 points and 10 boards before coming back with 27 points and 13 boards in Game #2. Lane hit 17-of-27 (63%) field goal attempts while adding three blocks, three steals and two assists to his weekly statline. Lakeland sits atop at the OCCAC standings at 11-1 (19-4 overall).
