Trevell Adams (Hocking) and Briana Bunkley (Cuyahoga) were unanimous selections as OCCAC Players of the Week for December 12-18. Adams corralled the seventh such honor of his career while Bunkley, a freshman, hauled in her first.
Adams garnered per-game averages of 20.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 2.0 assists during a 3-0 week for the Hawks. He rose up against #16 Mott, gathering 21 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in the 75-69 win. For the week, Adams shot 55% (22-40) from the floor, including 57% (8-14) beyond the arc.
Bunkley averaged a double-double, racking up 36 points and 20 rebounds in a two-game weekend. She chipped in five steals and a pair of assists as well. Bunkley netted 18 points in both contests, adding 13 rebounds in the Triceratops triumph over Alpena.
