First Basketball Honorees of the Season

An extensive OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week nomination list was presented following the opening week of 2021-22, and two student-athletes stood out above the rest – Trevell Adams (Hocking College) and Allison Siefring (Edison State). Adams, a freshman, wasted no time earning his first weekly accolade while Siefring now owns seven such awards in her career.

TREVELL ADAMS
Hocking College
Adams stuffed the stat sheet with 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game during a 3-0 slate for the Hawks. He converted on 60% (27-45) of his shots, including a 50% (7-14) rate from beyond the 3-point line. Adams took care of the basketball as well, committing just four turnovers in 70 minutes played.

ALLISON SIEFRING
Edison State Community College
Siefring averaged a double-double, hauling in identical stat lines of 18 points and 10 rebounds in both Charger victories. Those totals were even more impressive when considering that she logged just 54 minutes in the two lopsided contests. Siefring knocked down 15-of-20 (75%) field goal attempts to go along with eight assists, three steals and only two turnovers.
