First Weekend of Hoops Elicits League Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Nia Johnson (Columbus State), Elias Revelle (Hocking College) and Allison Siefring (Edison State) earned OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week honors for the opening weekend of 2019-20 season.

ALLISON SIEFRING
Edison State Community College | D-II Women’s Player of the Week
Siefring posted some impressive numbers in limited action (25 minutes) during the Chargers’ 96-37 win at Henry Ford College. She hauled in 13 rebounds (five offensive), eight points, six assists and three steals.

NIA JOHNSON
Columbus State Community College | D-III Women’s Player of the Week
Johnson dropped in 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 4-for-6 from deep range in an 80-62 victory over Schoolcraft College. She added seven rebounds, an assist, block and steal as well.

ELIAS REVELLE
Hocking College | D-III Men’s Player of the Week
Revelle knocked down 9-of-13 (69%) from the floor for 21 points in a 108-92 triumph over Ohio Christian University JV. He crashed the glass to the tune of four offensive rebounds and two on the defensive side. Revelle was also responsible for an assist, steal and block.
