Hoopster Trio Recognized for Stellar Efforts

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Three OCCAC student-athletes earned the league’s basketball player of the week honors for Nov. 18-24. Allison Siefring (Edison State) picked up the D-II women’s nod while James Graham (Cuyahoga) and Jaylen Jenkins (Lorain County) were the men’s D-II and D-III recipients, respectively.

Siefring hauls in her second award of the season, opening the campaign as the Nov. 4 honoree as well. This time around, the Charger guard crashed the boards for 14 rebounds in each road game. She also scored 13 points in both contests while knocking down 8-of-16 shots from the field and 10-of-12 at the charity stripe. Siefring handed out a half dozen assists and swiped five steals as Edison State split the pair of contests in enemy territory.

JAMES GRAHAM
Cuyahoga Community College | D-II Men’s Player of the Week
Graham did a little bit of everything in a 3-0 week for the Triceratops, posting per game averages of 13.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 assists while logging just 20.0 minutes/game.  He was huge in a 70-66 road win at Jamestown, pouring in 27 points to go along with seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

JAYLEN JENKINS
Lorain County Community College | D-III Men’s Player of the Week
Jenkins lifted the Commodore offense to 93 points per game last week, scoring 22.0 points/game personally and assisting on a total of 16 buckets (8.0/game). He converted on 16-of-28 field goal attempts, including a 4-for-6 effort from long range. Also averaged 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
