Harris, Schroeder = Players of the Week

Two freshmen, Rod Harris (Lorain County) and Malorie Schroeder (Owens), have been selected for OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week recognition (Nov. 15-21).

 ROD HARRIS
Lorain County Community College
Harris filled it up to the tune of 28.5 points per game in two contests, dropping in 73% (24-33) of his field goal attempts. He was also a perfect 7-for-7 at the foul line. Harris added 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists to his week’s stat line. The Commodore forward made 11 or more shots and grabbed five or more rebounds in both games while committing just two turnovers in over 50 minutes played.

MALORIE SCHROEDER
Owens Community College
Schroeder did it all in a 2-0 week for the Express, compiling 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Her efficient offensive performance resulted in a 64% (9-14) field goal percentage, including 6-of-9 from beyond the 3-point arc. Schroeder notched a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) in the victory over Delta College.
