Tori Smith and Clayton Cunningham guided Cuyahoga Basketball to four total wins last week as both the women’s and men’s programs downed Beaver County and Butler County. The Tricertops duo stood out above the rest, each earning OCCAC Player of Week accolades for Nov. 13-19.
Smith averaged a double-double with 36 points and 20 rebounds in total. She added six assists, five steals and a block to her stat line while committing a lone turnover in 49 minutes played. Smith was all over the glass, hauling in 11 offensive rebounds. She knocked down 11-of-21 (52%) from the field and 12-of-17 (71%) at the charity stripe.
Cunningham was lethal from downtown, hitting 9-of-15 (60%) 3-pointers, and 16-of-30 (53%) overall. He set up his teammates to score as well, dishing out nine assists to go along with his 44 total points in two Cuyahoga wins. Cunningham capped off his efforts with four steals and a block on the defensive side.
