SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Student-athletes from Lorain County and Sinclair earned the OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week accolades for Nov. 11-17. Vanecia Billings and Kevin Miller, Jr., of Lorain County were the D-III recipients while Dominique Camp and Ryan Stowers of Sinclair both made it back-to-back recognitions after snagging the same honor a week ago.
DOMINIQUE CAMP
Sinclair Community College | D-II Women’s Player of the Week
Camp came up one assist shy of averaging a triple-double for the second straight week. She posted 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game during a 2-0 week for the Tartan Pride. If that wasn’t enough, she also swiped a whopping 7.0 steals per game and sent back 2.0 blocks/game.

Lorain County Community College | D-III Women’s Player of the Week
This represents Billings’ first weekly basketball honor but not her first from the OCCAC. The two-sport performer was named the league’s volleyball player of the week just under a month ago on Oct. 21. On the basketball court, Billings hauled in 33 rebounds and scored 32 points in 62 minutes played during two games. Her three blocks at Harper College helped Lorain County limit the Hawks to just 20 points, the lowest opponent’s score in Commodore program history.

Sinclair Community College | D-II Men’s Player of the Week
Stowers kept in rolling Week Three of the 2019-20 season, laying claim to another conference laurel. He poured in 26 and 28 points in a pair of Tartan Pride triumphs by connecting on 22-of-40 (55%) field goal attempts, three from beyond the arc, and knocking down seven foul shots. Stowers did more than score though, adding 14 rebounds, four assists, four steals and a three blocks while committing just three turnovers in 67 minutes played.

Lorain County Community College | D-III Men’s Player of the Week
Miller did a little bit of everything during a three-game week for the Commodores. He scored 18 points in both Lorain County wins and shot 12-of-18 from the floor in those two victories. For the week, Miller averaged 16.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
