Tahjanae Flowers-Coleman and Deval Harrell from Bryant & Stratton College (OH) are the OCCAC Basketball Players of the Week for Feb. 22-28, 2021. The Bobcat pair lifted their respective squads to victory this past week. The 16th-ranked Bobcat men defeated #17 Hocking College, 85-83, and Bryant & Stratton (Rochester) in a 79-75 thriller, while the women’s team sprinted past Hocking College, 80-59.

Flowers-Coleman paced the Bobcats with 16 points on 8-of-14 (57%) shooting from the floor. She also posted three rebounds, three assists and a block in just 28 minutes played during a lopsided conference win.

Harrell earns his second weekly honor of the season after doing so on Feb. 15 as well. For his most recent recognition, Harrell was instrumental in not one, but two competitive Bobcat triumphs. He began the week by corralling 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists in a pivotal OCCAC showdown with Hocking College. Harrell then came back with 28 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists while logging 41 minutes in an OT besting of Bryant & Stratton (Rochester).
For the week, Harrell averaged 22.5 points per game on 52% (16-31) shooting from the floor, including a 57% (4-7) clip from beyond the 3-point line.
